Made by hand. Made to last.
Mungo and Co is a one-person workshop based in West Yorkshire, making handcrafted wooden homeware, gifts, and bespoke commissions from sustainably sourced timber.
Every piece that leaves the workshop is made by hand — cut, shaped, carved, and finished using traditional techniques and tools that have been refined over decades. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just honest craft.

Why handmade?
There's a difference between something made and something manufactured. A handmade chopping board carries the marks of the person who made it — the grain chosen for its character, the edge finished by hand, the surface oiled and ready for a lifetime of use. It's not perfect in the way a machine-made object is perfect. It's better than that.
Wood is a natural material, and we treat it that way. We source timber responsibly, work with the grain rather than against it, and finish every piece with food-safe oils that protect the wood and bring out its natural warmth.
Bespoke commissions
Some of our most rewarding work starts with a conversation. If you have something in mind — a gift, a piece for your home or business, something that needs to be truly one of a kind — we'd love to hear about it.
And the name?

That's Mungo. A rescue dog — small in stature, enormous in character. He came to us with nothing and repaid it with absolute loyalty, courage, and determination. He reminded us that the best things often come from the most unlikely places.
It seemed like exactly the right name for a workshop that believes in making things that matter.
