Made by hand, in the heart of Yorkshire
Every piece that leaves the Mungo and Co workshop is made by hand. No shortcuts, no mass production — just careful, considered craft applied to beautiful wood.
We're based in Yorkshire, a county with a long and proud tradition of making things well. That heritage matters to us. It shapes how we work, how we think about quality, and what we believe a handmade piece should feel like when it arrives at your door.
The workshop
Our workshop is where raw timber becomes something worth keeping. It's where we measure twice, cut once, and spend as long as it takes getting the finish right. It's not a factory — it's a proper workshop, with proper tools and the kind of quiet focus that good making requires.
Whether it's a chopping board destined for a family kitchen or a bespoke commission for a hotel, every piece gets the same attention. The scale changes. The care doesn't.
Why handmade matters
A handmade piece carries something a machine-made one doesn't — the mark of the person who made it. Small variations in grain, the warmth of a hand-finished surface, the knowledge that someone chose this piece of wood and worked it with intention.
That's what you're buying when you buy from Mungo and Co. Not just a product — a piece of work.
