What Would You Make?
Workshop Challenge No.2 — Entries close 18th October 2026 at 11:59pm
There's a piece of oak sitting on my workshop bench.
It has plenty of character — and one rather awkward feature: a natural cup or bow in the timber. I have a few ideas about what it might become, but this time I'm asking you.
Perhaps something useful. Something decorative. Something unexpected. Or something that makes clever use of the cup.
The challenge is to make the most of the timber as it is, rather than simply working around its imperfections.

The Rules
- The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 and over.
- One entry per person.
- Tell us what you'd make — a sketch, a description, or both are welcome.
- By entering, you give Mungo & Co permission to share your idea on social media and our website (your name will always be credited).
- The closing date is 18th October 2026 at 11:59pm.
- There's no cash prize — but the best idea may well end up being made.
